There were several reasons why we decided to go on this Bali Baecation, but I’ll share three. The first was to support Black business, but really Black ambition and courage. The second was because this was probably my only chance to get my husband across the Atlantic – before this he was seriously only interested in the Caribbean, Latin & South America. Lastly, Amirah’s a fellow Bison (HU, duh).  But seriously, this trip was everything I had hoped it’d be. From accommodation, to synergy to food, Amirah & Jarrell left no stone unturned. The entire time we were in Bali they made us feel like family, like home. My husband and I appreciated the balance in allowing us to authentically experience the culture and the people – which is a huge factor in how we determine where to explore/travel. Although they had an itinerary, when things didn’t quite pan out as planned it didn’t impact their ability to be great hosts, they are just as go-with-the-flow as it comes. As for the “team” (driver, chef, photographer) – I see them more as friends – they couldn’t have been more gracious and incredible at what they do. When we went out to eat, you could tell that we weren’t just anywhere even when the trek there felt like, “where the heck are we going!?” Lol, they put thought into every detail from the menus to the views to a villa with 7 bathrooms. I honestly could go on and on, so I am not sure where to end my “review,” so I will just end by saying thank you, friends. Thank you, Amirah & Jarrell, for living your life unapologetically free and fearless. Thank you both for having vision and acting on it because that action has given space and permission for others…. to love, to dream, to explore, to build, to be.

Where to start! The Bali Baecation delivered well beyond our expectations. The moment I saw the post about the upcoming trip I knew that we would be there. Amirah and Jarrell were THE BEST hosts and made sure we got to experience everything and that we enjoyed ourselves. You can tell a lot of meticulous effort went into planning the trip but the execution was flawless and relaxed. The villa was wonderful, the activities well planned, exciting and relevant and the food was incredible. It was a perfect balance on every front. Enough time exploring the city and being amongst the local culture as well as, plenty of time to relax and enjoy our villa and each other. Speaking of the villa, what a gorgeous place to call home for a week! The rooms were spacious and lush, the sitting area open and inviting and the private pool was beautiful. The meals were top notch, with a breakfast spread laid out every morning (we were able to try a local fruit each time), carefully curated restaurants for lunch and our own private chef for dinner. The monkey forest, rice villas, waterfall and market were a few of the great excursions that took us all over Bali. We came together as 12 strangers and left as friends. We will forever be grateful for the relationships we were able to forge in such a short amount of time all thanks to Amirah and Jarrell.  We will definitely be keeping an eye out for next year’s destination. An experience of a lifetime!

The Bali Baecation experience was nothing short of amazing.  From the beginning to the very end, both Amirah and Jarrell were more than accommodating.  The great attention to detail showed in everything done, no stone was left uncovered.  We were made to feel welcome from the minute that we arrived, it felt as though we had been friends/family for YEARS.  I loved the fact that everything from the chef to places that we visited were carefully planned and that Amirah and Jarrell didn’t just pick anyplace or anyone; they actually researched and made sure that we had the best.  I find that when asked about my trip to Bali, a huge smile comes across my face and I can’t find the words to explain just how amazing it was.  Prior to coming to Bali, I didn’t know what to expect, but Amirah and Jarrell blew us away with each day.  The villa, the food, the views, the excursions…was just great.  The trip would not have been the same without our driver, Yudi; I loved how when he picked us up from the airport,  he was just as excited to see us as we were to be in Bali.  Bria, our photographer captured the beautiful moments each day which we will be able to reflect on forever.   I would do this trip again, again and again.  Not only did I get to experience this, once in a lifetime experience, I also got to meet/do this with 5 other couples who I now call FRIENDS!!!  Thank you Amirah and Jarrell for this wonderful experience, we appreciate you and all that went into planning and prepping for Bali Baecation!

Bali Baecation was nothing short of amazing…and that is an understatement! Jarrell and Amirah wowed us daily with fun, well thought out activities that immersed us in Bali culture. Their attention to detail for 5 couples was incredible, from the time we stepped foot in the villa to the morning we said farewell!!!! It was very evident that they planned and organized this trip from the heart as it was truly something to be proud of. Most importantly, we felt their spirit of love throughout the entire trip. I would sit back and observe them working together as a team, taking full ownership of making sure that each guest was treated like royalty! (We had to fight just to help put away dishes! LOL) They embraced each of us like we’ve known each other for years! We all became so close and I truly believe that it was because of the love and care they share between the two of them that just oozed onto us! Cheers to Jarrell and Amirah! There is no one else we’d rather share Bali with.
