Hey, Aleena! I'm Amirah!
Together with my husband Jarrell, I run several businesses that we manage from anywhere in the world. You're most familiar with Hosted by The Cooks — our luxury retreat company — where you've handled invoicing for our guests. You've always been fast, thorough, and easy to work with, and that's exactly why I want to bring you on in a bigger capacity.
Our Projects
Beyond the retreats, we also run Cherry Blossoms Publishing, a publishing house focused on books, planners, and digital products. You actually worked on the Life Map and Visions Map for us, which falls under that umbrella. And this year I'm expanding my personal brand, Amirah Cook, in a bigger way — including launching a YouTube channel and offering new products and services I haven't put out before.
All of that means more output than I can manage alone. I'm looking for someone to come alongside me and help carry the workload. Here's what that looks like in practice: email campaigns in Mailchimp, customer emails, retreat newsletters, YouTube video editing and uploading, creating thumbnails and graphics in Canva, scheduling and running social media, Instagram Reels and carousel posts, researching brand partnerships, working with vendors on a planner I'm launching this year, and marketing for books and products.
Ready to Join the Team?
I'm thinking around 10 hours a week to start. One hour a week dedicated to answering emails, and the rest based on weekly projects we'll plan together. We'd have two short check-ins each week — one at the top of the week to align on goals, and one at the end to review what got done and what didn't.
I want to be upfront about one thing: honesty matters more than impressions here. I'm familiar with all of these tasks myself, so if there's something you haven't done before, just say so. I would much rather teach you and build your confidence in it than have you guess your way through something and deliver work that doesn't land. There's room to learn — I just need to know where we're starting.
